National ID Card Identification :
● Verifies the identity of the applicant; the citizenship and validity for local employment with or without work visa. If the applicant is a permanent Hong Kong citizen, all data shown on the Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card will be verified with the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
● Verification by checking the security features is available if original HKID is presented by the applicant.
Passport Identification :
● Verifies the authenticity of machine-readable passports by examining the composition of the machine readable zone (MRZ) with the passport’s details.

● Verifies the validity of the applicant’s driving license and motor vehicle conviction record.
● Certificate of previous traffic conviction record will be issued by the HK Police Force includes :
(a) Previous conviction record under Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374 in the past ten years.
(b) Payment record under Fixed Penalty (Crimin al Proceedings) Ordinance, Chapter 240 in the past five years.
(c) Record of driving-offence points under Section 3(2) of Road Traffic (Driving-Offence Points) Ordinance, Chapter 375 in the past five years.
Criminal record check for pre-employment screening purposes is prohibited in Hong Kong. The issuance of Certificates of No Criminal Conviction is provided by the Hong Kong Police Force which is solely in connection with a person’s application for a visa to visit, study or reside in another country, or for adoption of children. Applications for the Certificate for any other purposes will not be accepted.
The Sexual Conviction Record Check for pre-employment screening purposes is prohibited in Hong Kong UNLESS the usual duties of the applicant involve child or mentally incapacitated persons (MIP) related work.
